About the Role:

As our Content Marketing Executive you will report directly to the Head of Marketing and work closely with both the technical and commercial teams to research, write and schedule multi-channel content marketing campaigns that inspire leads. Your creativity and planning will help to underpin the long term strategic growth of the business as we enter the dawn of a new era of Earth observational data.

We are looking for a driven, focussed marketer who sweats the details without losing sight of the big picture, someone who cares passionately about their work and wants to achieve something special in their career.

You will be able to blend research and insight with efficient execution to build engaging content and communications that deliver commercially.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Head of Marketing in planning out the content calendar for the year, covering key industry themes and dates to maximise visibility
  • Produce marketing content including blogs, whitepapers and industry reports that drive engagement and awareness of PlanetWatchers in key verticals, increasing lead generation
  • To run webinars with industry leaders and leverage the discussion outcomes to drive further content marketing
  • Research and recommend in-person event opportunities such as industry conferences and exhibitions
  • To run and oversee email campaigns, ensuring accuracy and segmentation while using email automation to optimise performance
  • To manage social channels and content, posting on relevant hashtags and commenting on behalf of Planet Watchers
  • To secure thought leadership and PR opportunities for the senior management team
  • To create and share weekly reports with the Head of Marketing covering KPIs including leads, social media impressions and website traffic
  • To manage and administer the company website (WordPress)
  • To work with customers to create case studies and testimonials
  • To drive inbound leads
  • To ensure brand visibility across multiple touchpoints within our target customers
  • To assist in the management of our CRM (experience in Hubspot beneficial)
  • To work closely with the sales team to support their activity
  • To raise market awareness of PlanetWatchers
  • To have a basic knowledge of SEO and PPC

Required skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Degree educated, good academic record
  • Experience in a B2B marketing environment, having had direct responsibility for lead-generating marketing campaigns
  • Copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Experience of working with global teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

About you:

While you are still relatively early in your marketing career, you have already cut your teeth in the commercial world and proven yourself to be driven and accountable

You will have created content across a wide range of media (websites, webinars, pitch-decks, social, blogs etc). You will have worked as part of a high performing team or as the sole marketing resource for an ambitious business

  • You have a passion for writing engaging content and a personal standard that ensures your work is always delivered to the highest level.
  • You know that sales and marketing are closely linked and understand that marketing is often the first step in sales.
  • You are a strong communicator, able to keep stakeholders up to date on the latest progress with succinct information
  • You like working as part of a team and want to do something remarkable
