Sales Executive (US Based)

About the role:

As a PlanetWatchers Sales Executive you are at the front line of our business, focusing on identifying and converting new opportunities in our target verticals. This quota carrying role reports directly to the SVP of Sales and is responsible for all aspects of the sales process including prospecting, landing new logos, and growing your accounts into multi year engagements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and connect with target customers through creative, thoughtful, and persistent prospecting. 
  • Land new business in our target verticals.
  • Understand our customers’ pain points and collaborate with internal teams to bring our customers solutions at every opportunity.
  • Navigate and negotiate large and complex sales processes with  large enterprise customers.
  • Maintain impeccable data records in our CRM.

About you:

  • You understand that start ups are about progress, we aim to get better every day.
  • You bring a consultative approach to selling.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing deals in excess of $1M+
  • 5+ years of experience in complex B2B sales and account management of software or data analytics solutions to large enterprise customers.
  • Ability to work independently and transparently.  You understand that your success is our success and we win as a team. 
  • Experience delivering on a multi-million dollar quota.
  • Experience in sales development is a plus – you are your own SDR.
  • You understand the joy of a clean CRM.
  • You are data-informed in your decision making.

Content Marketing Executive (UK Based)

About the role:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Content Marketing Executive reporting directly to the Snr Marketing Manager and working closely with both the technical and commercial teams.

You will promote the brand and use metrics and statistics relevant to our target audience to create insightful content raising brand awareness and engagement. You will create content across web, social media, blog posts, relevant publications and use imagery and videos to engineer online engagement. Your creativity and vision will help to underpin the long-term strategic growth of the business as we enter the dawn of a new era of Earth observational data.

We are looking for an individual who not only has their sights firmly fixed on the big picture but pays particular attention to the smaller but important tasks at hand that will drive us there.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the senior marketing manager to create and execute the marketing plan focussed on driving our unique selling points.
  • Use of good business strategy experience, proven creative marketing ideas and a good understanding of the target audience to enhance the operations team.
  • Using measurable techniques, create awareness of and develop the PlanetWatchers brand across multiple touchpoints within our target audience.
  • Perform research and produce high level written content for use in publications, web content and on social channels.
  • Create strong communication and relationships with 3rd party associations and organisations that will grow our brand within chosen media platforms.
  • Produce creative content within brand guidelines, including videos, blog posts, website banners and social posts. Basic graphic design skills are preferable but not essential.
  • Assist in the management of our social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) to enhance audience engagement.
  • Set up and manage paid social channel campaigns within budget, with the ability to provide a high ROI.
  • Source and secure event sponsorship, speaking positions and generate event collateral in line with the Sales team requirements.
  • Organise and run webinars with industry leaders.
  • Create and build successful outbound email campaigns.
  • Assist in the management of the company website (WordPress)
  • Work with customers to create case studies and testimonials.
  • Assist in the management of our CRM (experience in Hubspot beneficial)
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and PPC.

About you:

We appreciate that not everyone is an expert in remote sensing and Earth Observation so don’t worry, that will come with time and experience.

We are looking for a self-driven individual, a fast learner with a creative mind who has a passion for writing content. A team player who has a keen eye for detail and opportunity.

While you are still relatively early in your marketing career, you have already cut your teeth in the commercial world and proven yourself to be creative and accountable.

You have created content across a wide range of media (website, webinars, pitch-decks, social, blogs etc). You have worked as part of a high performing team or as the sole marketing resource for an ambitious business.

Your Duties:

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Plan & prioritize testing activities.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
  • Be the quality Sherif – define and enforce code lifecycle processes, instruct and guide the team on best practices.
  • Define & track quality assurance metrics.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience in software development quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Solid knowledge of scripting.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

  • Lead development projects in a variety of areas.
  • Setup and support an evolving cloud infrastructure for a mixed cloud computer and storage (public and private), test, and operational environments.
  • Support all teams with investigating, troubleshooting, and technical leadership for cloud infrastructure.
  • Help define, build and ensure a reliable CI/CD environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and flexible startup environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience setting up and supporting cloud computer and storage environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in programming (esp. Python, scripting or any high-level language).

  • Proven experience (at least 3 years) as a Full Stack Developer.
