Head of Marketing

About the Role:

As Head of Marketing you will work closely with the CEO, CTO & CFO. Your input and vision will help to underpin the long term strategic growth of the business as we enter the dawn of a new era of Earth observational data.

You will play a key role in driving lead generation, market penetration, market validation, content strategy, brand profile and market positioning.

We are looking for an individual who sweats the detail without losing sight of the big picture, someone who cares passionately about their work and wants to achieve something special in their career.

About your duties:

  • Produce, oversee and review marketing content that drives engagement and awareness of PlanetWatchers in key verticals.
  • Effectively manage a team of focussed and high-performing marketers.
  • To provide strategic input into the PlanetWatchers growth strategy.
  • To actively engage with the customer base to understand their needs.
  • To translate our services into meaningful messaging.
  • To manage and create PR opportunities.
  • To drive inbound leads.
  • To provide management and forecasting of a set marketing budget.
  • To ensure brand visibility across multiple touchpoints within our target customers.
  • To work closely with the sales team to support their activity.
  • To raise market awareness of PlanetWatchers.
  • To expand your team effectively and ensure a high caliber of candidates.

About you:

You have a strong background in marketing leadership and will have worked as a HoM/CMO previously.
You are comfortable with team management and inspiring your direct reports to over achieve and become exceptional team players.
You love to get your hands dirty and to ‘be in the detail’ to ensure the quality of our output is recognisable across the market.
You have a keen eye for design and a personal standard that ensures your work is always delivered to the highest standard.
You know that sales and marketing are closely linked and understand that marketing is often the first step in sales.
You are a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable in creating lead generation campaigns as creating customer retention campaigns.
You are comfortable across the full marketing spectrum and are willing to constantly ‘push the envelope’ to drive meaningful results.
You live to generate MQL’s and obsess over all stages of the funnel.

Marketing Manager

About the Role:

As Marketing Manager you will report directly to the Head of Marketing and work closely with both the technical and commercial teams to build campaigns that inspire leads. Your input and vision will help to underpin the long term strategic growth of the business as we enter the dawn of a new era of Earth observational data.

About your duties:

  • Produce marketing content that drives engagement and awareness of PlanetWatchers in key verticals.
  • To run webinars with industry leaders.
  • To build successful email campaigns.
  • To manage social channels and content.
  • To create graphic content for the website and social use (basic graphic design skills preferable but not essential). 
  • To create design briefs within brand guidelines for graphic and video content.
  • To produce and maintain an Events Calendar and administrate event attendance.
  • To manage and administer the company website (WordPress)
  • To write and publish content for the company news/blog.
  • To work with customers to create case studies and testimonials. 
  • To translate our services into meaningful messaging.
  • To drive inbound leads.
  • To ensure brand visibility across multiple touchpoints within our target customers.
  • To assist in the management of our CRM (experience in Hubspot beneficial)
  • To work closely with the sales team to support their activity.
  • To raise market awareness of PlanetWatchers.
  • To have a basic knowledge of SEO and PPC

You will have a demonstrable ability to sell into either the agriculture or insurance sectors (or both) and a willingness to learn and educate in equal measure.

  • Lead algorithms development projects.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree.

  • Willingness to continually face and overcome challenges and to learn new skills and technologies.

  • Hands on experience implementing DL & CNN solutions (TensorFlow, Keras, Torch)
